Preparing and Delivering a Eulogy
It is an honor to be asked to give a eulogy at the cemetery or funeral service, but it can be difficult to know what to say. It’s best to have remarks prepared before you go to the cemetery. When you watch this video, you’ll hear some basic guidance on preparing a chronological eulogy.
Also known as a life history eulogy, this type of eulogy starts with basic information about the decedent’s life. Consider where and when the individual was born, how the individual met his or her partner, and where he or she worked. Next, write a few words about the decedent’s accomplishments and awards or recognitions he or she may have received before you move on to discuss important life experiences.
